Killina Secondary School Extension

With the growing population in the Tullamore region, Killina Presentation Secondary School was experiencing increasing pressure on its existing facilities. To address this demand, a new two-storey extension was constructed, enhancing the school’s capacity.

The development incorporated a comprehensive range of mechanical services to support specialist classrooms, a dedicated Special Needs Unit, general classrooms and additional sanitary facilities. The extension is independently serviced by a new dedicated plantroom, housing the mechanical systems required to provide a comfortable, efficient and modern learning environment.

A Building Management System (BMS) was also installed, providing centralised monitoring and control of the mechanical services. This allows the school to efficiently manage system performance, optimise energy usage and maintain appropriate environmental conditions throughout the new facilities.
