IDA Cavan

The project comprised the construction of a new Advanced Building Solution at IDA Cavan Business & Technology Park, delivered on behalf of IDA Ireland.

The facility encompasses approximately 3,000m² of high-quality production space, complemented by a two-storey office accommodation block. The development was delivered to a Category A fit-out standard, incorporating both the open-plan production areas and office accommodation, while meeting the latest Nearly Zero Energy Building (nZEB) sustainability requirements.

As part of the works, we successfully delivered the complete mechanical services package for the facility. The heating strategy centred around an air-to-water heat pump system, providing the primary source of heating and supplying both the air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs). This integrated system ensures efficient and consistent tempered air distribution throughout the facility, supporting both occupant comfort and the building’s energy-efficiency objectives.

The mechanical installation also incorporated the full sanitaryware and plumbing services, including dedicated male and female toilet facilities, accessible WC (ACC WC) and universal accessible WC (UAWC) provisions, ensuring the facility met the required standards for accessibility, functionality and occupant welfare.

Overall, the project represents a modern, energy-efficient commercial and industrial development, combining advanced building services, sustainable technologies and high-quality construction to create a future-ready facility for IDA Ireland.
