This new-build project encompassed the complete installation of mechanical services, including new pipework distribution systems, soil and waste stacks, and ventilation ductwork throughout the building. A high-efficiency heat recovery ventilation system was installed to provide a continuous supply of fresh, filtered air to the classrooms, while simultaneously recovering heat from the extracted air to optimise energy efficiency and maintain a comfortable internal environment.

The school’s primary heating source is provided by an air-to-water heat pump system, which supplies heat to both conventional radiators and low-temperature radiant panels throughout the building. Two LPG storage tanks located on site provide a dedicated gas supply to the specialist classrooms. The installation incorporates a comprehensive gas detection and proving system, providing an additional layer of safety and ensuring the gas supply is monitored and securely controlled
